The lobby of the theater was a sensory overload of buttery popcorn, overpriced perfume, and the high-pitched chatter of the crowd. Ridhi stood near the ticket counter, looking like a vibrant splash of color against the marble floors. She held three tickets tucked between her index and middle finger like a winning hand of cards while her other hand pressed her phone to her ear.

"Senorita, yaar, movie mujhe puri dekhni hai! Movie ke credits roll hote huye nahi!" Ridhi exclaimed into the phone, her foot tapping an impatient rhythm. "Where are you? The trailers are already starting!"
